Redpanda Hotel is listed as a hospitality platform with room reservation and custom checkout flows. This study focuses on booking correctness, date validation, user input recovery, and checkout confidence.
Risk & proposed scope
Booking flows are sensitive to dates, availability, pricing, guest details, and interrupted checkout. The proposed scope uses synthetic rooms, seasonal rates, valid and invalid date ranges, and repeat submission tests.
Example test scenarios
- Select checkout before check-in and expect clear validation.
- Reserve the last available room from two sessions and confirm duplicate protection.
- Refresh during checkout and verify the user can recover without losing critical data.
- Use long names, special characters, and empty required fields.
- Compare listed price, checkout summary, and final confirmation.
Evidence & release criteria
Evidence should include room ID, date range, rate source, checkout summary, validation messages, and final booking state. Release should block duplicate reservations, incorrect totals, and unclear failed checkout states.
